BGM PRO oversize screw/clamp nipple in excellent quality, manufactured by a supplier for the Japanese motorcycle industry.
The BGM PRO Oversize types have five special features:
- Production to oversize (Ø10.06mm)
- Contrasted waistband at the top
- With wrench surface for counter-holding (SW=9mm)
- With 3.5mm hexagon socket (like original Innocenti)
- With internal clamping plate to protect the cable
OVERSIZE The oversize allows the screw nipples to sit perfectly in used switching scales. If necessary, grind new shift paddles minimally.
FEDERATION The collar at the upper end prevents the screw nipple from slipping into the switching scale. This makes assembling the trains much more convenient. Insert the screw nipples into the shift rocker, threading the shift cables is done cleanly and easily without a second hand.
KEY FACE The wrench flat allows the clamping screws to be tightened without the cable having to serve as a counter-holder for the tightening torque. The screw nipple is fixed with a conventional open-end wrench (wrench size 9). This prevents the pull wire from kinking. The Bowde stays straight.
CLAMPING SCREW As in the original, the clamping screw has a hexagon socket screw with a wrench size of 3.5mm. The screws can be tightened with the 3.5mm Allen key with ball head, also available from BGM. The ball head allows lateral deflection. When attaching the shift cables, the clutch cable remains in place.
CLAMPING PLATE The screw nipple has an internal plate. The rotational movement of the screw is not transmitted directly to the rope. This protects the inner cable of the Bowden cable and helps ensure a long service life and reliability.
ASSEMBLY Remove the clamping screw of the screw nipple and take out the inner plate. Insert screw nipple into shift scale/clutch arm. Guide the cable through the hole in the screw nipple. Insert the clamping plate into the screw nipple. Place an open-end wrench (wrench size 9) on the wrench surface of the screw nipple. Tighten clamping screw.
